Digitally Remastered Classics It was with no small effort that West End Records initiated the popular Digitally Remastered Classic Vinyl Series. We were up to our tits hunting and sorting tapes from almost 25 years ago down in our dungeon-like vault. Once located, the original master tapes were restored through a bizarre process in which the tape is actually baked in a little oven, then quickly transferred to new analog and digital tapes. The chosen mixes were then digitally remastered before being stripped off for pressing. Remarkably improved in sound quality, the sound is brilliant -- like they were recorded yesterday! We will continue to not only re-release the monster classics, but also not so obvious gem glistening in our vaults. All 12" have been packaged in label's signature hot pink New York City skyline. We hope you enjoy seeing and hearing these records again as much as we do. Watch this page for more titles as they come.
